Welcome To Blackboard!

Blackboard is a web-based learning management software package, which instructors at LaGuardia can use to present content and interactive functions to students.
 

Participants will explore various aspects of Blackboard from both the student and instructor perspective like
learning to navigate Blackboard, adding content to a Blackboard site, setting courses availability, configuring the course menu, etc.

Blackboard Clinic

Faculty can receive individualized support from our training team. Come work independently or with a fellow department member whether you are unfamiliar or would like to expand your Blackboard knowledge, staff will be on hand to answer your individual questions and provide immediate support as you work to meet your individual goals for the session .  

 You can focus on topics such as:

- Learning the basic layout and navigation system,
- Adding and organizing content in your courses,
- Uploading files,
- Setting up online quizzes and  discussion boards,
- Using the Assignment tool,
- Managing the Grade Book,
- Working with multimedia,
- Creating links to webpages or online resources,
-  Backing up course materials,
- Rearranging and redesigning your menu, etc.
