What happens when my financial aid changes? What should I do?
You must apply for financial aid every year. Aid eligibility is determined by a number of criteria including age and marital status. According to federal regulations, the calculation changes each year as well. If your financial circumstances change, you may get more or less aid.
Renewal of your financial aid package also depends on making satisfactory academic progress towards a degree, such as earning a minimum number of credits and achieving a minimum GPA. Check our website to see the required number of earned/attempted credits and GPA needed to remain eligible for Title IV and TAP benefits. Please view our Satisfactory Academic Progress Brochure for changes for Federal Program.
It is important to apply for financial aid early so that if your aid does change, you have time to make other arrangements for funding your tuition, such as scholarships or a payment plan.
