Reflection on Internship Experience: Juanita Rosado, an Honors student at LaGuardia, came to New York from Colombia five years ago. While completing her Co-op internship at Pfizer’s corporate headquarters in New York City, she realized that the experience would open many doors for her and used the experience to learn as much as possible. After her internship, Juanita was hired by Pfizer as an Administrative Assistant. Juanita graduated last year from LaGuardia and is currently attending Fordham. Read this story |

“My internship gave me a firm sense of what I want to do with my life” Reflection on Internship Experience: During my two internships, I worked in the Corporate Lending Department which basically deals with middle market companies. I was responsible for meeting daily department deadlines, keeping track of all deposits sent to bookkeeping, printing out and faxing daily customer account activity, delivering and retrieving correspondence from various departments hourly, and distributing confidential documents. I also conducted research on various companies.” My two internships in the Corporate Lending Department at Israel Discount Bank changed my educational goals. Reflection on Internship Experience: Owning a successful accounting practice that offers tax preparation and accounting services to local small businesses and individuals for over six years is a dream realized for 1996 alumnus, Ken Wu. As a student, Ken interned at The New York City Comptroller’s Office where he received training in accounting and exposure to daily business operations, which he points to as part of his success.
