Reflection on Internship Experience: Aneudy Perez, an accounting major at LaGuardia, began his Cooperative Education internship in the Payroll Department at Con Edison. After his internship, Aneudy was hired as an administrative clerk. Aneudy is now a junior accountant in the Treasury Department at Con Edison and is currently attending Baruch. Aneudy credits his internship experience with enabling him to gain access to Con Ed that was and is valuable experience. Aneudy hopes to one day open his own accounting firm. Read this story |

“My internship gave me a firm sense of what I want to do with my life” Reflection on Internship Experience: Dimitri Siavelis was an intern at Community Board 3. He worked on a project that involved creating interactive maps to help a broader audience understand the importance of commercial strips in relationship to their surrounding areas. This internship triggered his curiosity and developed his interest in becoming an urban planner. Dimitri graduated from LaGuardia and is currently attending Cornell University where he is studying Urban and Regional Planning. His future goal is to attend graduate school and study Planning, Mapping or Architecture. Read this story |

“An internship at Amnesty International opened my eyes to issues in the world”
Reflection on Internship Experience: Guillaume Koible, an accounting major, decided to complete his internship at Amnesty International. At Amnesty, Guillaume was assigned to a special project; research human rights issues in Darfur. His research was part of the Amnesty Human Rights Education Program, which develops curriculum and lesson plans for elementary schools. Guillaume is currently attending Hunter College. He is interested in studying the social and economic impact of business on local communities. Read this story |
