LaGuardia Community College's Adult and Continuing Education
Program offers a unique and comprehensive Certificate Program
in Importing and Exporting. It is intended for those who want
more specific information about all aspects of the field and consists
of 6 courses. . In addition, there is a one session seminar that
gives an overview of the field, including how to start an import/export
business. (It is not part of the Certificate Program.) Students
may take individual courses without intending to earn a Certificate.
Import/Export Documentation Workshop
will be given in spring; the full program will resume in the Fall.

An introduction to the steps involved in starting an import or
export operation from scratch. This course is designed for the
“absolute beginner”. Focus is on import requirements;
export requirements; legal considerations; general business requirements
and personal goals. This seminar is not part of the Certificate
