  LaGuardia Community College's Adult and Continuing Education Program offers a unique and comprehensive Certificate Program in Importing and Exporting. It is intended for those who want more specific information about all aspects of the field and consists of 6 courses. . In addition, there is a one session seminar that gives an overview of the field, including how to start an import/export business. (It is not part of the Certificate Program.) Students may take individual courses without intending to earn a Certificate.

Import/Export Basics

An introduction to the steps involved in starting an import or export operation from scratch. This course is designed for the “absolute beginner”. Focus is on import requirements; export requirements; legal considerations; general business requirements and personal goals. This seminar is not part of the Certificate Program.

World Trade Today

A comprehensive introduction to the exciting world of international trade.
