LaGuardia Community College's Division of Adult & Continuing Education offers a certificate program on-line that will teach you the skills you need to design and create professional-looking web pages. In addition to integrating photographs, graphics and animation into web pages, you will also develop a basic understanding of how to position on-line businesses on the internet. Students must complete a total of 5 on-line courses with a grade of 75 or better, to qualify for the certificate.

Creating Web Pages On-Line

Every site you see on the Internet's World Wide Web is made up of web pages created with the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). The Internet's rapid growth has created an urgent demand for web page design and knowledge of HTML. In this unique six-week on-line workshop, you'll learn how to create sensational web sites complete with text, graphics (both static and animated), color, background. lists, four types of links, hot buttons and tables. In the process, you will learn about time-saving authoring programs, how to select a web hosting service and how to upload your web site to a web server.
