Our learning communities, remedial courses and internship program are constructive; our Honors Program is rigorous; and our enhanced academic calendar offers the versatility you need to accommodate your fast-paced lifestyle. And we’re family-centric: the Early Childhood Learning Center at LaGuardia provides high quality, low cost childcare for Parents and Families. When you graduate you’ll be well-prepared to enter a four-year institution; and/or a competent asset to our workforce, community and society.
In CUNY, you are considered a Freshman
Applicant if you’ve never attended a higher learning institution since
graduating from high school. High school students who earned college
credit in high school are still Freshman Applicants. If you’ve attended
another institution you are a Transfer Student, even if you’re still on your first year, will or will not transfer credits, or if it was outside of the United States. Be sure to complete the correct application. However, if you hold or need a temporary student visa, you are an International Student.
