Omid Adabi
Among several academic awards, Omid won first place at the 2011 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students for his research and poster presentation on the effects of female sex hormones on the response of macrophages.
He has participated in the New York Physical Therapist Assistant Board of Directors meeting where they decided on by-laws and policies for the profession and has served as the vice president of LaGuardia’s Physical Therapist Assistant Club.
He also volunteers at the Hospital for Special Surgery and is a first-degree black belt and instructor of Kajukenbo.
After LaGuardia, Omid looks forward to enrolling into the Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) program at City College, a training program in academic research; and later opening a medical office with his family.
