External Groups and Organizations
In recognition of its role as an urban, public institution of higher learning, LaGuardia Community College takes upon itself a special responsibility to permit responsible individuals and groups not affiliated with the College the use of its facilities, at such times as they are not in use for the College’s primary education and research mission.
All requests by external groups and organizations to use the College’s facilities must be referred to the Office of College and Community Relations, by calling (718) 482-5055 or sending an email to Karen McKeon at karenmc@lagcc.cuny.edu. Applicants must provide the following information and fax it to (718) 482-5016.
- Full name, address, telephone & cell numbers, email address(es) of the individual or group making the request.
- Are you a non-profit or commercial entity?
Provide a brief description of your organization.
- Provide a brief description of your event.
Date(s) and time(s) requested for your event.
- Be sure to include alternate dates/times.
- What type of event do you want to hold? (i.e., meeting, conference, seminar, fair, luncheon, workshop, lecture, reception, etc.).
- What type of venue do you require? (i.e., conference room, lecture hall, classroom).
- How many attendees do you expect?
Will you require catering?
- Will VIPs will be part of your event? (Identify any entertainers, ambassadors, elected officials, community and business leaders, clergy, etc.).
- Will media coverage be part of your event?
Do you have any audiovisual needs?
- Will you charge an admission fee?
