BRANDON VENDRYES

 

I was born in Brooklyn , NY to Jamaican parents. At the age three, I moved to Canada to live with my grandmother because my mother needed more time to work and to save. My grandmother taught me to understand that I have responsibilities and that there will always be consequences to my actions. I then moved back to Queens , New York when I was seven to live with my mother.

I am a well rounded person. I love all kinds of music, from hip-hop and rap to classical music. I have now grown up for the most part in Jamaica , Queens and since Queens is one of the most diverse boroughs, I find that I can relate to all types of people who stem from many different backgrounds.

I like school now more than ever. When I am at the college, I sometimes feel the same kind of excitement about school, wanting to learn new things, that kids feel when they first start kindergarten.
