Hello! My name is Mei Jing Piao.I am from the north of
China. After graduating from high school in China, I came to
the United States. I have been here for more than two years.
At first, I didn’t like this country too much because I met
so many difficulties living here by myself. However, as time
goes by, I am getting to like it better little by little.
The first tiny step of my goal here is to get a Associates degree from LaGuardia. I am majoring in Business Administration now and if I transfer to a senior college, I will study Marketing or Hospitality Management. My dream is to open up my own hotel or start a company. Since I came to LaGuardia Community College, I feel that my English has improved a lot, especially my communication skills. Therefore, I decided to be a math tutor in this school. I feel confident that I can do a good job helping students. The other reason why I am tutoring is that I think I am a very patient person. Working on campus is also a good experience because as I tutor students, I feel that I also learn from them. I must say that I really enjoy what I am doing. I hope you will come to my sessions and that you will enjoy them as well!
