Welcome to my page! My
name is George Lu and I am a student and Academic Peer
Instruction (API) tutor here at LaGuardia Community College.
I have lived in New York City my whole life and I believe
that it is, without a doubt, one of the most wonderful
places in the world to live. I started attending classes
here in Spring 2008, and thus far it has been a wonderful
experience.
My current major is Liberal Arts: Math and Science. However,
once I transfer tor a four-year college, I plan to move on
to Actuarial Science, which is basically utilizing math to
assess and determine risk. This major requires a rigorous
amount of studying and coursework, but I am definitely up to
the challenge.
Being an API tutor has opened my eyes about tutoring. It is
a very gratifying and fulfilling experience and I would
recommend you all try it. We all know what it’s like to take
a difficult course and sometimes we can use all the help we
can get. That’s what we API tutors are there for. We are
students like yourself who can give you a helping hand.
