Certificate Program in Career Coaching

LaGuardia Community College’s Career Development Institute offers a Certificate Program in Career Coaching for human resources professionals, psychologists, counselors, social workers, MBAs, recruiters and those with professional work experience who are interested in the field. Enhance your skills to advance in your current position or start a brand new chapter in your professional life.
This is a 5-course program. Successful completion leads to a professional certificate in career coaching from LaGuardia Community College/CUNY. Courses are offered on a weekend schedule.

Enrique Garcia Bejar
Executive Director, Career Development Institute

Enrique Garcia Bejar has taken his education and many years of career counseling/coaching experience, and put them all into the new Career Development Institute at LaGuardia. The Institute offers two programs: a career coaching certificate program for professionals already working or interested in working in the field, and career planning seminars for anyone looking to change or begin a career.

“I realized that there was a field unknown to many that provided a planned and organized way to choose a career or job,” says Mr. Garcia Bejar of his interest in career coaching. “It’s an opportunity to offer individuals a process to take control of their lives.”

With an Ed.M. Degree in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University; certification in several Career and Psychological Assessments; and experience in organizations including LaGuardia’s Career Development Center and through his own company, Bejar Consulting Group LLC, which provides executive and career coaching to organization/corporate clients in the U.S. and abroad, the Career Development Institute is in good hands.
