June 2013 Cohort
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses at LaGuardia Community College will begin on Friday, June 28, 2013 and is being offered at 29-10 Thomson Ave Long Island City NY, 11101.
Commitment
If you are accepted to the program, there will be a Welcome and Orientation session on Friday, June 28th from 9:00am to 6:00pm, prior to the first class. You must be present at all class sessions, which are held from 8:30am to 6:00pm on the following dates:
- Orientation and Welcome Reception - Friday, June 28, 2013
- You and Your Business - Saturday, June 29, 2013
- Growth and Opportunities - Friday, July 12, 2013
- Money and Metrics - Friday, July 26, 2013
- You are the Leader - Friday, August 9, 2013
- It’s the People - Friday, August 23, 2013
- Marketing and Selling - Friday, September 6, 2013
- Strategic Growth through Operations - Friday, September 20, 2013
- Being Bankable - Friday, October 4, 2013
- Pulling it All Together, Part I - Friday, October 18, 2013
- Pulling it All Together, Part II - Saturday, October 19, 2013
Applicants must:
- Be prepared, if selected as a finalist, to attend a mandatory
20-minute in-person interview at LaGuardia Community College District in
Long Island City. The date for the interview will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013.
- Commit to attending all learning sessions starting in on Friday, June 28th (See About Page).
- Commit to completing bridgework in advance of each session and to
participating in business advisory, and related services between
classes. This commitment totals approximately 6-8 hours per week.
- Commit to completing a growth plan prior to graduation.
- Applications are accepted on an on-going basis. Candidates will be
evaluated for each cohort as space becomes available with opening of new
cohort sessions.
