Higher Education Associate/Communications and College Relations Manager

Duties:

GENERAL DUTIES

Establishes and maintains communication and ongoing working relationships with outside organizations and manages the design, implementation, and management of communications to support College visibility and recognition.

- Represents the College to a portfolio of external organizations

- Plans and implements communications campaigns, working with publications staff

- Applies an understanding of the concerns of external organizations to develop short- and long-range plans to advance the Colleges position and support community/public identified needs

- Plans and implements major activities such as conferences, collaborative partnerships, and educational programs to support identified needs and issues

- Identifies and develops new audiences and communities to further the mission of the College

- Develops and implements advertising and communications campaigns, working with publications and editorial personnel

- Maintain relationships with media representatives

- Performs related duties as assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Division of Adult and Continuing Education is a large and multi-faceted division, and the position of Communications and College Relations Manager has been created to facilitate and coordinate efforts to convey information about important events, programs and services, success stories, and other relevant issues to the division, the college community, the local community, and the general public. To this effect, the Manager will have various roles and responsibilities in order to promote the divisions work: Collaborate on ACE quarterly catalogs, writing welcome letters, profiles and articles; copyediting new course descriptions, ads and any additional text; proofreading catalog draft. Copy-edit all marketing materials created within the division that are to be distributed to students, faculty and staff, and the general public. This includes brochures, flyers, ads, posters. Write/copyedit all new text for the divisional web site; help coordinate new program sites; help maintain divisional pages; serve as divisional web liaison. Lead or assist in coordination and communications outreach on individual ACE projects, such as special courses, events, initiatives and award submissions. Coordinate with college Marketing & Communications Department to send out press releases, and with College

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree and six years related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters

Salary:

$68,024 - $82,299
FLSA Exempt
